The Hunter DUAL-1 is a single-station two-wire decoder designed for use with I-Core controllers. Field-programmable and built for professional irrigation systems, the DUAL-1 brings reliable two-wire decoding to valve manifolds, helping reduce wire runs and installation labor while keeping serviceability simple.

  • Single-station decoder designed for I-Core DUAL systems; operates one valve output and supports solenoid connections in parallel (max recommended decoder-to-solenoid distance: 100 ft).
  • Two-wire path capability — supports long run distances depending on wire gauge (14 AWG up to 5,000 ft; 12 AWG up to 7,500 ft) to place up to 48 decoder stations per system.
  • Field-programmable at the controller or via the Hunter ICD-HP wireless programmer; decoders do not require serial-number entry.
  • Rugged, IP68-rated waterproof housing suitable for valve box installation with included waterproof connectors; approved to common standards (UL, cUL, FCC, CE, RCM).
  • Use DUAL-S surge protection modules as specified (recommended every 12th decoder or every 1,000 ft) to protect against power surges on long two-wire paths.

DUAL decoders simplify retrofits and new installs by reducing trenching and wire costs while preserving advanced I-Core features like flow monitoring and SmartPort® connectivity. Note: Hunter has marked the DUAL decoder line as discontinued in 2024; Hunter recommends the EZ Decoder System for ICC2/HCC controllers and ICD decoders for ACC2 controllers as replacement options.
