• Designed for I‑Core DUAL systems: Provides dedicated surge protection for two‑wire decoder paths that use DUAL-1 and DUAL-2 decoders.
• Recommended spacing: Install earth‑grounded DUAL‑S arresters at a minimum of every 12 decoders or every 1000' (300 m) of two‑wire path; increase frequency in high‑lightning areas and always place one at the end of each two‑wire path.
• Valve‑box mounting: Install the DUAL‑S inside a valve box; leave approximately 5' (1.5 m) of extra wire and splice at the midpoint of the slack loop for a secure connection.
