The NDS 1884 is a one-piece 18-inch square catch basin engineered to collect surface water and direct it to drain pipe. Constructed from UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene (HDPE), this durable basin resists fading and corrosion while remaining lightweight for easier handling. Designed for landscape, residential, and light commercial drainage, the 1884 accepts multiple universal outlet adapters so you can connect common pipe sizes with confidence.

  • Material & protection: UV-stabilized HDPE construction for long-term outdoor performance and fade resistance.
  • Dimensions & weight: Approx. 17-11/16" L x 17-11/16" W x 18-9/16" H; ~15 lbs (typical).
  • Outlet compatibility: Four keyed openings accept universal outlet adapters for 3", 4", 6" and 8" drain pipes (adapters sold separately).
  • Reducer rings: Includes NDS reducer rings (per NDS catalog listings includes 2 or 4 #1890 rings depending on kit configuration).
  • Performance: Sump area captures debris to reduce pipe clogs; suitable for landscape and hardscape drainage and for light vehicular traffic when installed per manufacturer instructions. Load rating varies by selected grate.
  • Installation notes: Keyed openings lock adapters and reducer rings in place; use waterproof silicone on mating surfaces for a watertight seal. Outlet adapters and grates are sold separately.

This catch basin pairs with NDS grates and universal outlets to create a flexible surface-drain system. Common compatible adapters include NDS #1206, #1242, #1243, #1245, #1266, #1888 and #1889.
