HMIP250TE Molded-in-Place PVC Ball Valve - 2-1/2" Threaded
The HMIP250TE is a heavy-duty molded-in-place PVC ball valve engineered for reliable shutoff in irrigation, pool, and industrial piping systems. Built to SCH 80 standards, this 2-1/2" threaded valve uses a molded body that absorbs shock and misalignment stresses so wear is limited to replaceable softgoods rather than the ball and seat.
- Size & End Type: 2-1/2" nominal, FIPTxFIPT (female threaded) connections for threaded pipe systems.
- Materials: Type 1, Grade 1 white PVC body and PVC ball with zinc-plated steel fasteners and ABS handle components.
- Seals & Trim: EPDM stem seal and O-ring with PTFE seat seals for chemical resistance and long life.
- Pressure & Performance: Rated to 150 PSI (non-shock) at 73°F with a high flow coefficient (Cv ≈ 162), suitable for many cold-water and chemical service applications.
- Design Features: SCH 80 molded construction, compact maintenance-free design, red T-style handle for positive manual actuation.
Applications include irrigation, pool/spa lines, water treatment, and other cold-fluid systems where chemical resistance and leak-free shutoff are required. The molded-in-place construction reduces the risk of uneven wear and leakage under misalignment or shock load.
