Replacement Hunter DC-latching solenoid (P/N 458200) engineered for use with all Hunter plastic irrigation valves. This low-current latching solenoid is designed specifically for battery-operated irrigation controllers and delivers reliable open/close pulses with minimal power draw.

  • Broad compatibility: fits Hunter valves including PGV, ICV, IBV, SRV and PGV Jar Top models.
  • Battery-controller ready: compatible with NODE, NODE-BT, XC Hybrid, SVC and WVS battery-operated controllers (6–9 VDC operation).
  • Electrical specs: minimum 6 VDC opening voltage, recommended up to 9 VDC; coil resistance ~4.8 Ω for efficient latching pulses.
  • Durable design: captive plunger prevents lost parts and helps keep contaminants out; manual quarter-turn on/off for service.
  • Pre-wired: supplied with red and black 18 AWG UL-approved leads (approximately 18' length) for simple field wiring.
  • Direct replacement: remove the standard AC solenoid and thread in P/N 458200 to convert valves for battery controllers.
