The Hunter ROAM XL remote kit provides long-range, commercial-grade remote control for SmartPort®‑enabled Hunter controllers. The kit is built for large sites and includes a transmitter, receiver and a padded carrying case for easy transport between job sites.

  • Long-range operation: Line-of-sight range up to 3 km (about 1.9 miles) for remote manual operation of irrigation systems.
  • Controller compatibility: Works with SmartPort-enabled Hunter controllers including X‑Core, Pro‑C, PCC, I‑Core and ACC (and compatible models).
  • Addressing and capacity: 128 programmable addresses to avoid interference and manual control for up to 240 stations for large installations.
  • Power and runtime: Transmitter uses 4×AAA batteries (included); receiver draws 24 VAC from the controller via the SmartPort connector. Programmable runtimes: 1–90 minutes.
  • Clear display and controls: Large LCD with battery-life indicator and simple keypad for reliable, on-site operation.
  • Installation and frequency: System operates on the 27 MHz band. SmartPort wiring may be extended (max recommended 15 m) using the SRR‑SCWH shielded cable harness or equivalent.
  • Durability and docs: Rugged, weather‑resistant construction suitable for commercial sites; includes owner’s manual, brochure, and product cutsheet. Manufacturer warranty: 3 years.

Note: Hunter has replaced the ROAM XL with the ROAM LR; ROAM XL units were discontinued in 2025. The ROAM XL remains a reliable, high-power remote for shopping centers, campuses, industrial complexes and multi-unit housing where long-range manual control is required.
