The 3M Scotchlok 314 Insulation Displacement Connector provides a grease-filled, moisture-resistant pigtail connection for joining two or three insulated copper conductors. Its nylon-insulated body and tin-plated brass U-contact form a flame-retardant, corrosion-resistant splice that installs without stripping.

  • Wire range: Accepts 22–14 AWG solid or stranded copper conductors (0.5–1.5 mm²); maximum insulation diameter 3.8 mm (0.150").
  • Voltage & temperature: Rated 600V for building wire and 1000V for fixtures, luminaires and signs; temperature rating up to 105°C (221°F).
  • Construction: Grease-filled mineral oil EG-3 sealant; nylon insulator with blue cap and white body; tin-plated brass U-contact for reliable conductivity.
  • Installation: No stripping required—insert wires fully and snap cap closed. For best results use 3M crimping tool E-9BM or standard slip-joint pliers.
  • Certifications: UL listed, CSA certified and RoHS compliant.
  • Applications: Ideal for pigtails, sign and fixture wiring, building wire splices and low-voltage underground circuits when used within a protected enclosure.
