Calsense Two-Wire Decoders — POC, 2-Station & Moisture

Compact, surge-protected Calsense 2‑Wire Decoders provide flexible FLOWSENSE control for commercial and large residential irrigation systems. Choose between the POC (flow/master valve), 2‑Station, or Soil Moisture Decoder to match site needs and simplify wiring runs.

• POC Decoder (CS-2W-POC): Operates a single master valve and one flow sensor; up to four POC decoders can be used per controller with a maximum of 12 points of connection in a FLOWSENSE chain.
• 2‑Station Decoder (CS-2W-2ST): Drives two solenoids using uniquely colored wires per station; a controller can support up to 128 2‑wire stations across a maximum of 70 physical decoders.
• Soil Moisture Decoder (CS-2W‑MOIST): Measures volumetric water content, soil temperature and electrical conductivity; includes a 16‑foot sensor cable and also operates one valve.
• Dimensions & Environment: Compact housing (approx. 1.4" H × 3.3" W × 4.0" L) and rated for typical field temperatures from −12°C to 65°C (10°F to 150°F).
• Wiring & Distances: Use 14‑gauge (AWG) solid copper wiring; recommended direct pulls with no splices except at decoder locations. Typical maximum run to solenoids is 100 ft with 14‑AWG; POC flow meter wiring is limited to ~20 ft when using a POC decoder.
• Protection & Accessories: Built‑in transient protection on decoder models; use jacketed 14‑gauge cable such as Paige® P7354D or Regency/Hunter decoder cable and 3M™ Scotchcast™ 3570G‑N sealing packs for watertight splices.

These decoders integrate with Calsense CS3000 controllers equipped with the CS3‑2WIRE‑OPT 2‑Wire option and support decoder discovery, assignment, and FLOWSENSE flow management. Follow manufacturer wiring guidelines and local electrical codes during installation.
