The Greenlee 501 Tracker II is a portable cable-locating system designed to trace and determine the depth of buried wires, cables, conduits and metallic pipes on energized or de-energized lines. Its high-frequency transmitter and 32-inch receiver provide audible and visual signal indication for fast, accurate locating in utility, construction and maintenance applications.

  • High-frequency operation: 447.5 kHz transmitter produces a 40 Vp-p (≈140 mW) signal for long-range locating up to 4,000 ft (1,219 m) and depths to about 7 ft (2 m).
  • Three connection methods: direct attach, inductive coupler (clamp) and built-in inductive antenna for locating on active or dead systems.
  • Receiver: lightweight 32 in (813 mm) handset with adjustable sensitivity, signal strength meter and audible tone for clear path tracing.
  • Transmitter & power: compact transmitter requires eight AA batteries; receiver uses one 9V battery. Both include 90-minute auto shutoff to preserve battery life.
  • Rugged construction: powder-coated aluminum transmitter/receiver and vacuum-formed polyethylene carrying case protect components on job sites.
  • Includes: transmitter assembly, receiver assembly, inductive coupler, built-in inductive antenna, two 8 ft test leads with heavy-duty alligator clips, batteries and molded carrying case.

Backed by a 1-year limited warranty, the Greenlee 501 provides technicians with a simple, reliable locating solution. See product manual for safety, usage and maintenance details.
